Regional Exports grow 30.4% for 2010

The countries comprising of the ALADI contributed in a growth of exported products of over 30% for a total of $57.680B in the first six months of this year. The same period last year saw a total of $44.222B exported.
The American Integration Association (ALIDI) comprises of 12 Latin American countries, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Cuba, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, Mexico, Venezuela and Uruguay.
It has to be noted that most of the 12 countries produced quarterly gross domestic product levels, higher than prior to the world financial crises. With the exception of Mexico and Venezuela, Mexico had significant growth in several quarters whilst Venezuela did not see a significant recovery until the first quarter of 2010.
All indications are that the economies of the region are showing a good performance and that the worse is probably behind them.
