Day 1

San Jose

After your arrival to San Jose international airport our representative will welcome you and provide you with a welcome kit with useful information about Costa Rica. You will be transferred to the hotel El Rodeo Country Inn for your first night in Costa Rica. The evening is free at your disposal. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel or experience the active nightlife of San Jose.

Day 2

San Jose – Tortuguero

Today a very special nature adventure is waiting for you. Early in the morning you will depart for Tortuguero in the north-east of the country. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Braulio Carrillo National Park and admire its lush vegetation. Continue by boat and marvel at the beautiful surrounding during a three-hour boat ride through the canals of Tortuguero. After your arrival to the lodge a welcome cocktail and a rich lunch will be served. The afternoon is free at leisure. Relax nearby the pool or explore the nature on one of the many hiking trails. After a delicious dinner you are free to enjoy the evening along the canals. Allow yourself a nice cocktail and listen to the sounds of the jungle.

Day 3

Tortuguero

The program of today invites you for a scheduled boat tour through the narrow canals in the Tortuguero National Park. Observe the bursting amount of tropical wildlife. Learn more about the flora and fauna of this 21’000 hectares reserve of tropical rainforest. This will be your lifetime jungle adventure.

Day 4

Tortuguero – Arenal

Today you will head towards your next adventure. Ride by boat back to Caño Blanco Port and continue by bus to Guápiles, where you will have lunch. A shuttle transfer will bring you to the area of the famous Arenal volcano. Be part of the extraordinary spectacle and, watch the flawless silhouette and listen to the loud rumblings and frequent explosions of lava and ash. At night you can see the red glowing lava flow down slowly. In the afternoon you will arrive at the Arenal Paraiso Hotel. Pamper yourself with an invigorating spa treatment or just relax at the natural spring pool and get some new and fresh energy.

Day 5

Arenal Volcano Hike – San Jose

After breakfast you will be picked up at the hotel and transferred to the far west side of the Arenal volcano. Explore for approximately one hour the Silencio Trail and enjoy your unique surrounding. Continue then by shuttle back to San Jose.

Day 6 San Jose – Bocas del Toro
In the morning you will be transferred to the local airport in order to catch your flight to Colon Island in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Continue by boat to your hotel Playa Tortuga. The rest of the afternoon is free at your disposal. Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the Caribbean and the beautiful beaches.

Day 7 Dolphin Watch and Snorkeling Tour
Start the day with a boat tour to Laguna Bocatorito, where you will have the chance to see dolphins playing in the water. Next you will stop at Coral Key to do some snorkeling. Continue to Red Frog Beach in the afternoon. Here you will have some time to take a swim or to relax at the beach. On your way back to the main island you will pass Hospital Point for some snorkeling.

Day 8 Bocas del Toro – Boquete
Today enjoy a transfer up to the cloud forest mountains in Boquete. This is a small and charming mountain village known to produce some of the sweetest oranges and richest coffees in Panama. The town is home to an abundance of birds equal to those found in the cloud forests higher on the mountain. One of the most famous is the Resplendent Quetzal, the national bird of Guatemala. This bird is nearly extinct there but has found a refuge in this area. Mid afternoon arrival to Finca Lerida Hotel, located within a coffee plantation. Rest of the day free to explore the town.

Day 9 Birdwatching Tour on the Quetzal Trail
In the early morning you will depart from Boquete and start to hike the Quetzal Trail. This is one of the most amazing trails in Central America for bird watching, particularly to see the Resplendent Quetzal. Afterwards you will return to your hotel. The afternoon is free at leisure. Enjoy one of the many activities and tours offered in this area, or just relax at the hotel.

Day 10 Return to San Jose
Today you will be transferred to David where you will catch your flight back to San Jose. Our representative will pick you up and bring you to the Hotel El Rodeo Country Inn.

Day 11 Departure
Our representative will pick you up at the hotel and bring you to the International airport in San Jose for your flight back home – or any other destination.
